"Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again."

The Vision
Water for Witness starts with a simple act: handing someone a bottle of water. No strings attached. Just a cold drink on a hot day, offered freely because it was freely given to us.
But water runs deeper than that. Throughout Scripture, water is the image God uses again and again to describe what He offers the thirsty soul: satisfaction, cleansing, life. A bottle of water meets a physical need. The gospel meets the eternal one. Water for Witness connects the two.
"And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward."
~ Matthew 10:42Water in Scripture
Water appears on the very first page of the Bible. The Spirit of God hovers over the waters at creation. It flows through the whole story of redemption, from the flood that judged and preserved, to the Red Sea that delivered, to the rock in the wilderness that poured out life for a thirsty people.
"With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation."
~ Isaiah 12:3Jesus stood in the temple on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles and cried out, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink" (John 7:37). He told the Samaritan woman at the well that whoever drinks the water He gives will never thirst again, because it becomes a spring of water welling up to eternal life (John 4:14). And in the final chapter of the Bible, the invitation still stands: "Let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price" (Revelation 22:17).
Water is not just a metaphor. It is the image God chose to describe what He does for desperate, thirsty people. He satisfies. He cleanses. He gives life.
"Jesus said to her, 'Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'"
~ John 4:13-14How It Works
Gospel witness built around a simple act of kindness: a bottle of water. Each bottle carries a QR code linking the recipient to Scripture and the gospel. Those who distribute the water receive training in gracious conversation about the living water Christ offers. A physical need is met; a spiritual door is opened.
There is no program to join and no fee to pay. If you have water and a willingness to talk to your neighbor about Christ, you already have everything you need.
A cold bottle of water on a hot day is a small kindness that opens a door. It costs almost nothing and it communicates care before a single word is spoken.
Each bottle carries a simple Scripture reference and an invitation to explore God's Word. The water quenches thirst for a moment; the Word offers living water forever.

Sometimes a bottle of water leads to a five-minute conversation. Sometimes it leads to a lifelong friendship. Either way, it is faithfulness in a small thing.
For Your Church
Water for Witness gives your church an outreach program it can call its own: bottled water branded with a QR code, distributed by trained members who know how to offer kindness and speak truth, fulfilling the call to go forth and make disciples.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."
~ Matthew 28:19-20Looking Ahead
Today, Water for Witness is a vision and a page. With support and the Lord's providence, it could become much more:
A standalone website offering the same Bible reader, daily reading plan, and prayer tools found on rfrmd.com, designed for a general audience of all Christian traditions.
Downloadable, ready-to-print water bottle labels with Scripture and a QR code linking to the Bible tools, so anyone can participate.
Resources for churches and small groups who want to organize water distribution events in their communities as a simple, repeatable outreach.
Equipping materials for those who distribute, teaching gracious conversation about the gospel and the living water Christ offers.
None of this happens without prayer, encouragement, and the generosity of God's people. If this vision resonates with you, we would love your support.
